There are many options for treating psoriasis, from traditional pharmaceuticals to bizarre and dangerous (and downright deadly). I hope to be able to recommend some of the most popular, safe and effective psoriasis remedies.
Plaque vulgaris
Plaque vulgaris, also known as psoriasis vulgaris, is the most common form of the condition. It affects 85% of people with the condition. Plaque psoriasis is characterized by thick, red, itchy, and scaly legions. This form is what we will be focusing on in this article. Psoriasis can be triggered by stress and anxiety. It is important to reduce the stress in your daily life. Psoriasis can be exacerbated by excessive alcohol, smoking, and obesity.
For reducing the severity and duration of psoriasis, the key to a healthy body is good nutrition and regular exercise. Psoriasis flare-ups can be caused by beta blocker medication and lithium salts. People who travel to malarial areas should avoid Chloroquine, an anti-malarial medication. It is important to eat a healthy diet. Modern pharmaceuticals, such as creams and pills, are used to provide remedies. The strength of cortisone preparations available over-the-counter is lower than prescription.
Side Effects
The skin can become thinner and more fragile over time if you use steroidal cream. Natural and home remedies are becoming more popular. Rub oil on the skin is a popular and simple way to self-treat. Vitamin e oil is the most popular. Other popular remedies include salicylic acid and apple cider vinegar, bitter juice, aloe gel, and a paste made of tumeric water.
These and many other remedies will be discussed in more detail at a later time. Many historical remedies have been used since ancient times. My favorite is the ancient Egyptians’ rubbing of cat faeces on the scaly areas. This is definitely not something I recommend! You may find relief from your symptoms with one or more of the following psoriasis remedies. If you feel it helps, please share it with other sufferers of psoriasis to help them too.
