Ako sa zbaviť bolesti hlavy doma?

Sherri, a 38 year-old stay-at-home mom, suffered from severe headaches all her life. She suffered them four to five times per week, and some made her head feel like it was “going to blow off” her shoulders. It was a stressful time in her life. She had to take care of her child’s daily needs. Her friend dragged her into our office, as she was nervous about going to the chiropractor.

The Point

What was the point of giving her so many ineffective and dangerous treatments? She was basically told that all options had been tried. Why would a less-effective and potentially dangerous treatment be recommended over one that is safer and more efficient, especially when Rand Corporation and other medical journals have reported similar results? The numbers may be the answer.

According to the International Headache Society (IHS), there are 129 types of headaches. This problem is compounded by the fact that there are more than 20 specialists who treat this condition. Each specialty has its own approach to treating headaches, but if your condition falls outside their scope of treatment, it is often overlooked or dismissed. It leaves the headache sufferer to find his own answers, often against their primary care doctor.

Many headache sufferers will know what I mean. We all know that if you fall off your bike and hit your head, vomiting can occur. Your internist is the best option if you have a headache that has been accompanied by fever, altered consciousness, and a rash. If your headaches are not caused by a fever, head trauma, or loss of consciousness, a Chiropractor is the best choice.

According to the IHS, Cervicogenic and Tension-type headaches are the most common. Both types of headaches are caused by the muscles, nerves, and bones in the neck. A Chiropractor is the only specialist who can treat headaches that originate from the neck. Many other types of headaches, such as migraines, can also be caused by the structures of the neck.

These can be treated.

  • The pain from the top of the head and the back of your skull are the upper two nerves that leave the neck.
  •  “Trigger Points”, or knots in spasmed neck muscles, refer to the top of the head.
  •  A bridge of tissue has been discovered that connects the meninges, a covering around the brain, to the upper neck muscles.

When the neck is in spasm or misaligned, the meninges can be stretched and cause a horrible headache. These headaches can be treated by correcting the neck problem. This problem cannot be fixed by injections or pills. The medicine may only treat the symptoms, but can also erode your stomach and cause kidney and liver damage.

Rebound headaches

These can be caused by as few as three over-the-counter headache pills per week. It’s difficult to determine the root cause of the problem. These types of headaches are not recommended for medical doctors, who are not trained to treat them. Although I don’t believe Chiropractic care is the best option for all headaches, it is!

  • A headache that is associated with generalized illness, fever or nausea.
  • A sudden onset of severe headaches, especially if it wakes you up at night.
  • Headache accompanied by changes in speech, coordination, or intellectual function.
  • A headache that causes weakness or numbness in one side or extremity of your body.

To completely eliminate chronic headaches, you need to consider factors such as diet, allergies and chemical sensitivities. Some headaches can be caused by genetic factors, hormonal imbalances, and structural faults like Cluster headaches or Migraines. To get a satisfactory result, it may take a team of doctors. We will always refer you to other specialists if they are beneficial for your case. Medical practitioners often overlook structural problems that could be the cause of your symptoms.
