Can Reiki Treat Depression?

Reiki Masters think that thought is energy vibrating at a really large frequency while the body is energy vibrating at a lower frequency. Vibrations produce actions and activities produce reactions in grosser and grosser levels of frequency at a ripple effect! While positive ideas are universally recognized to manifest as health, negative ideas are held to make disease or lack of simplicity.

Mental health

Mental disease is manifested as depression, depressive psychosis, mania or even schizophrenia. Treating depression with Reiki is quickly becoming a popular alternative to modern drugs. Reiki deals with melancholy as negative energy. Negative energy manifests in the aura degree as imbalance in the Chakras or energy centers and is visible to the Reiki practitioner as gray or black spots from the air.

Imbalance of the energy centers causes reactions at a concrete level, for the energy center governs the disease or health of the organs and endocrine glands found within its purview. The Chakras which are usually blocked in someone who’s depressed would be the reduced –the root chakra, the naval chakra, and to some degree the solar plexus chakra, which is part of the middle group. The Root Chakra anchors the Individual to the earth. It represents the physical will and is connected with the spinal column, bones, nails, teeth, anus, rectum, colon, prostrate gland, blood and the construction of cells.

The Suprarenal glands, which produce adrenalin and affect body temperature, are regulated by state of the root chakra. The individual whose root chakra is out of balance can’t accept life or enjoy physical presence. The creative energy of such a man or woman is low and self-expression isn’t considered necessary. The individual will have a tendency to overindulge in sensual delights like overeating, alcohol, sex etc.. He or she becomes selfish, self-centred.

Risks

Physically the individual becomes obese and suffers from constipation. When challenged the individual gets irritable, aggressive, angry, violent and exhibits a complete lack of confidence. If the Chakra is completely blocked the individual will lack physical and psychological stamina and will be full of feelings of uncertainty. The Naval Chakra is the reproductive and creative center of the being. It’s connected with the pelvic girdle, kidneys, bladder and all fluids like blood, lymph, gastric juices as well as the regulation of the female menstrual cycle.

The glands associated with this chakra are the Prostrate, gonads, ovaries and testicles. If this energy center is busy and free of cubes the individual displays freedom in self-expression and lifestyle looks intriguing. Interpersonal relationships are considered beautiful. A disharmonious chakra induces the individual turn off sensual messages and exhibit low self-esteem, psychological paralysis and sexual coldness. Life doesn’t seem worth living and suicidal tendencies manifest themselves.

Solar Plexus Chakra

The Solar Plexus Chakra is the energy center of the being. A harmonious Chakra provides the individual a feeling he has the power of shaping things. It’s connected with the lower back, stomach, digestive tract, stomach, liver, spleen, gallbladder and the automatic nervous system. The organ that’s governed by this Chakra is the Pancreas.

The body absorbs solar energy through this chakra. This nurtures the ethereal body and energizes and keeps the body. Emotional energy is also governed by this Chakra. Personality traits and social identities are determined by it. Since it’s situated between the higher and lower chakras it has the additional purpose of purifies the fundamental instincts and directing the creative energy to higher values of life.

Astral body

Additionally it is linked to the astral body and helps us integrate our feelings, experiences and dreams harmoniously. A block solar plexus chakra deprives the person of the zest for life. The individual feels gloomy, unbalanced and moody. Negative vibrations impact the person through this chakra. The individual is restless and tries to manipulate everything in view of their own wishes. There’s a persistent feeling of inadequacy, which compels them to ceaseless activity. The individual becomes easily threatened and will feel dejected and frustrated.

The individual insists that obstacles are preventing them from realizing the true goals of life. It’s apparent that the indicators of a individual in the grip of acute depression are as much physical as emotional and psychological. A block will exist at the root chakra, the naval chakra and the Solar plexus Chakra. The creative energies of the individual will be at an all time low and the individual will avoid situations where he or she has give expression to their feelings. He’s self indulgent, selfish, self-centred and suffers from a great number of ailments linked to the gut and has a propensity to put on weight. He or she’ll lack physical endurance and will be moody, irritable, defensive and aggressive. He will not have any interest in life and will refuse to interact. In extreme cases he’ll attempt suicide.

Example

Ms.L, an obese woman (she weighed 180 Kgs), hadn’t stepped out of her front door for the past ten decades. She was convinced that she couldn’t walk without assistance and that she would fall down if she tried. She spent whole days at the house, refusing to speak to visitors. She had a compulsive need to eat and would cook and eat enormous amounts of Chicken, meats and eggs at odd times of the day.

She’d attempted anti depressant drugs and other procedures of therapy that included Homeopathy, acupressure, acupuncture and anything which was recommended to her by her sister and brother in law. She was convinced she had been born unlucky and she would never be ordinary again. She would start a remedy with lukewarm enthusiasm, but would soon slip into lethargy and refuse to proceed with the treatment.

When Ms.L was known for Reiki, she’d convinced herself that she hadn’t long to live and had told her sister to not be surprised if she discovered her dead one-day. Her sister– alerted –hurried to the Reiki clinic for support.

Day 1

Since the individual wouldn’t come to the clinic, I decided to pay a visit to her dwelling. It was apparent from Ms.L’s posture that she had been in the grip of acute depression. She was seated on a couch with her feet up on a footstool. Her body limp, her head bowed and her shoulders drooping. Her arms lay lifelessly in her sides. She appeared lost to the world and didn’t even look up when we entered the room.

She merely lifted her eyes to look at us without excitement when she had been talked to. An aura scan revealed her root chakra and the naval chakra were totally blocked and her solar plexus chakra was partly blocked. With plenty of persuasion from her sister and sister, she got up and went to lie down on her bed. I noticed that she used the walker even though she was perfectly able to walk without it. She appeared to cling to it as a means of support. I kept up a general chatter as I began the treatment. She continued looking at the ceiling blankly. After some time, she began to pay a bit more attention.

Her muscles would twitch and she lifted her head to see what we’re doing. She called her sister asked her if we had been using some substances as she had been feeling some heat where my hand rested. When she was assured that no chemicals were being used, she awakened once more into indifference. Slowly and visibly she started to relax. She soon fell into a deep sleep and started to snore. As the round of treatment was finished, we let her sleep.

Day 2

Ms. L was awaiting me. She seemed relaxed and calm. On enquiry, she responded, “I slept deeply and dreamlessly for the first time. I feel well”. She then went voluntarily and lay down on her bed. After chatting with her for a while on a number of topics (she didn’t reply), I began the treatment.

While performing Reiki, I continued to talk and Ms.L replied in monosyllables to the questions being addressed . At the end of the hour she commented,”That felt fine”.

Day 3

Mrs. L was prepared for me. She had been lying down and excited to begin the treatment. She started to discuss the weather constantly keeping an eye on me. When I agreed that it was sexy, she started telling me how the heat was affecting her and the way she couldn’t eat as much as she used to. I made sympathetic noises to promote her.

She seemed to feel reassured and opened up–almost as if she had been speaking to herself and sometimes asking me a question. Then, her tone changed and she became more personal and emotional. She poured out her feelings. She insisted that she had been quite depressed because God had taken away her husband and her kids had flown off to distant lands and nobody cared for her. She said she’d hated God in the day he’d taken her husband and she hadn’t gone to church or cried for quite a long time. Since she’d been very religious, she felt guilty that she had forsaken God however, she hated him and she didn’t need to plead to him. She then started weeping and ranting at God and exclaiming that she shouldn’t be doing it! This emotional outburst lasted for nearly an hour, during which I continued the treatment, unfazed. Finally, exhausted by emotions and relaxed by the Reiki, Ms.L fell asleep.

Day 4

Ms.L was awaiting me–a bit shamefaced and diffident. She greeted her with a defiant”I was carried away a bit yesterday. I’m sorry”. I assured her that it was OK and that she shouldn’t hold back her emotions and that I don’t mind her talking to me . She then, asked me a bit suspiciously’Do you think that your treatment is making me unbalanced? Do you believe God is unkind? No”. She then asked,”Do you think I need to start to pray to him? Do you think he’ll hear my prayers now? I’ve abused him ! Yes, you should. God is extremely forgiving and he’s always pleased to welcome his kids, however abusive they’ve been!
