How To Avoid Headaches Again?

Headaches are common in many people and can recur too often for sufferers. Although a variety of over-the-counter and prescription medications may be helpful in managing headaches, they do not address the root cause. Side effects of long-term use of headache medications can also be a problem. Many people turn to chiropractic to find a natural and holistic treatment for chronic headaches.

What is a headache?

Muscle tension, sinus congestion, headaches, and many other causes can cause headaches. Many people feel a headache start above the eyes, at the back of their heads, on the sides or top, or centred behind their eyes. All headaches are painful, and sometimes they hurt quite a bit. A headache can cause mild to severe pain. Cervicogenic headaches are the most common reason people seek chiropractic treatment. Cervicogenic headaches can be caused by pain radiating from the neck’s bony or soft tissues.

  • Make sure your room is well lit if you are using your computer or television.
  • Keep your teeth clean and in good condition. If you have cavities or other issues with your teeth, it can lead to repeated headaches.
  • Reduce stress levels, as tension can lead to strain and pain.
  • Exercise daily. You can feel great by doing some yoga or walking briskly.
  • To avoid dehydration, you should drink at least 1.5 litres of water each day.
  • If you work at a desk, ensure your desk is properly set up and take frequent breaks to stretch.
