It’s obvious that some home remedies, both natural and common, can be more beneficial than antibiotics. You can feel that antibiotics are the best thing since sliced toast if you don’t know otherwise. They come with a price.

Antibiotics can destroy good flora, particularly good gut flora. This can lead to a host of other problems. While antibiotics may seem to solve the problem, they only treat the symptoms and not the root cause. The problem can return at a later time if the cause is not changed. It is not unusual to receive multiple courses of antibiotics.

What other options are there? What treatment is available that treats the problem and doesn’t harm your good flora? Let me share a recent experience. My young cat was having trouble urinating. He was always in his litter box, spending some time squatting, and not producing any urine. I felt his abdomen and noticed that his bladder was empty. He did not have a problem with his urinary tract. I tried several homeopathic remedies on him, but they had little or no effect. One morning, I noticed that there was a little urine in the bath. It was stained with blood. This was the key to his cure. I had very little to go on up until then. I now had something meaningful to offer him his treatment.

What to do?

I gave him a homeopathic remedy that was found in all good homeopathic home prescribing kit. This problem could have been treated by any layperson. Only thing that could have prevented someone from attempting to treat this problem was their inability to allow their cat to suffer. My cat suffered far less than if I had panicked and rushed him for treatment.

The right treatment is what will make homeopathy work. The wrong remedy won’t work, but it will not cause any harm. The early remedies were wrong. The cure was evident and curative when I had real symptoms. Homeopathic treatment works by treating the root cause. The problem will cease to exist if the cause is addressed. Homeopathy supports the body’s best efforts to heal itself. There will be no side effects or problems later.
