    Hemorrhoids

These will disappear in a few days or a week. Hemorrhoids refer to swollen blood vessels in the rectum or anus. These vessels can become inflamed or distended due to many factors, including lifestyle changes and dietary changes. Hemorrhoids can be easily caused by a lifestyle change to become more sedentary and to consume refined foods and drinks. Even if you have hemorhoids already, it is not too late to treat this condition.

    Home remedies

There are many home remedies that can be used to treat hemorhoids.

    • The sitz bath is a good option. Place a warm bath container on top of your toilet seat. Allow the warm bath to soak for approximately 15 minutes. The bath can be enriched with Epsom salts, natural herbs, or plain baking soda. This will help to cleanse the area and reduce the pain from inflamed hemorhoids.
    • Increase your fiber intake. To improve the consistency of your stool, you should immediately check your diet and switch to a high-fiber diet. The result will be soft if the diet is high in fibers. Constipation and straining can be avoided. Fibers in natural foods absorb water and expand in your intestinal tract. Fruits and vegetables are two examples. Whole grains such as rice and oats can be added to your diet, providing watery bulk for your digestive system.
    • Certain foods, such as linseeds, prunes, and Vitamin C, are mild laxatives. These foods can help to ensure soft stool upon defecation. Other foods that can cause hemorhoids include blueberry, chestnuts and beetroot as well as cabbage, bran, yogurt, and beetroot.
    • Increase your water intake. To avoid dehydration, make sure you drink at minimum 2 liters of fluid daily. It is only natural that water should always be topped up, since man is 65 percent water.
    • Active living is important. Sedentary lifestyles are a contributing factor to hemorhoids and constipation. You should exercise at least three times per week. Light exercise can be done at first, and then you can increase your frequency. Walking for 40 minutes, three times a week is sufficient. Exercise will increase muscle activity and stimulate the lymphatic system, which is where the body’s defense mechanisms are located. This will ensure that all sickness and ailment are prevented.
    • You can use a suppository that contains a local anesthetic. The anesthetic will be effective in numbing the nerve endings in the recto-anal area, which will relieve the pain and the burning sensation. You should be aware of allergic reactions, as some anesthetics can cause them.
    • Take a daily Vitamin C 1000 mg tablet. The supplement can shrink hemorhoids and act as a mild laxative. Vitamin C is an antioxidant and this preparation can strengthen blood vessels, preventing them being stretched from straining.
