Hypoglycaemia is usually found in people suffering from masked food allergies. It happens when the body doesn’t have enough blood glucose. If someone has consumed excessive carbohydrate, over several decades, particularly processed carbohydrate such as white flour and sugar, the pancreas becomes more stressed to the point where it ceases to function normally – a very common problem today.
These eating habits change the normal, gentle production of insulin from the pancreas into the of rapid insulin output due to the excessive demands placed on it by so much carbohydrate. The human body was just not designed to take care of the excessive amounts of carbohydrate in our so-called civilized diet. The pancreas becomes accustomed to producing excessive amounts of insulin to deal with the large increases in blood glucose, brought about by continuous carbohydrate ingestion.
Finally, it will become overstressed and tired. In this confused state, a small increase in blood glucose will often make it make a disproportionate quantity of insulin, leading to low blood glucose and subsequent hypoglycaemia. This is of particular value to victims of masked food allergies, which, invariably, involve lots of the carbohydrate foods, frequently in the kind of refined carbohydrates, such as cereal flours and processed sugars.
The demand for these people to bite constantly or’binge’ in their favorite (addictive) foods, coupled with the probability they’ve been excessive eaters of those foods for several years, makes them inevitable goals for hypoglycaemia. During the period of hypoglycaemia, the person suffers from faintness, palpitations, nausea and excessive perspiration. So as to overcome these debilitating symptoms, he eats more refined carbohydrate, which in turn stimulates further insulin production, so the symptoms subsequently return.

Thus, a vicious group gets established, as a result of demands made on the pancreas from the persistent ingestion of processed carbohydrates. This would have been caused by chronic, addictive, masked allergy to one, or more, foods, which can be unknown to the victim. Most people over age thirty, will observe a twinge or an ache somewhere, if they persist in eating something that’s bad for them. There’s a mass of evidence across the world to support this truth. One example, in most, is research done during a three and a half year clinical trial, conducted by Dr D.M. Carroll of North Carolina. In 300 patients suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, 98 percent were found to be severely allergic to various foods, and a few to several foods. The analysis showed 37 percent allergic to wheat, 27 percent to corn, 23 percent to milk, 19 percent to eggs and 12 percent to tomatoes. Once the offending foods were eliminated from their diets, they all showed marked improvement. That’s extremely conclusive evidence in 1 study. The effect of arthritis on the society is significant. In 1981, according to the Bureau of Statistics, it was responsible for 25 percent more lost work time than industrial disputes. It’s known to influence 1,250,000 Australians, many of them children.
It must eventually dictate that the diet and environment of the individuals, should be thoroughly analyzed for chemical and food intolerances. At the moment the most widespread medical treatment for gout is that the management of high daily doses of aspirin, over a protracted period. Aspirin consists of acetylsalicylic acid that is a salicylate derivative. It’s well documented that salicylates are a powerful allergen, affecting many men and women.
Could this not be a case of masking the illness with the very substance that’s causing it? There’s virtually no area of the body which might not be influenced, either directly or indirectly, by an allergic reaction – especially concerning chemical and food intolerances. It’s important to see that the ramifications of an ongoing allergic illness, on the body, can finally be catastrophic, by virtue of the cumulative effects within months or even years. Yet our trips to the physician’s office must often lead to a sense of frustration once we feel that the particular organ-directed treatment we receive isn’t based upon the physician’s assessment of our whole symptom picture.
