    Lack of energy is irritating, but it leads to bigger problems. Someone who runs out of steam normally either sinks to a lethargy fueled by fatigue (yawn), or slips into a stress-filled attempt to beat the clock for each thing done (whew). This cycle negatively affects resistance, the aging process, and basic self-esteem–not to mention focus and ability to handle the tasks at hand.

    Are you always at the beck and call of others, given no chance to express an opinion, or requested to take on unrealistic tasks typically become frustrated, feel helpless, and create low self-esteem? Not standing up for yourself is a real drain. Over the long run, the effect ranges from fear to pessimism, further dragging down energy and making it almost impossible to feel free or at charge. Energy Fix: Honestly examine your willingness to do a great deal for others. Perhaps you’ve lost your sense of self along the way whilst over-giving, over-agreeing, or engaging in well-meaning relationships that no longer serve you. It’s time to rethink these scenarios. Draw boundaries with negative folks. When a request is unreasonable, say “no.” While it’s true that we can not change others, it’s also imperative to our own well-being to change how we respond to maintain their negativity from our own lives.
