Migraines can be difficult to understand if you have never experienced one. A headache is similar to a baby migraine. They are not the same in severity. Even so, if you’ve never had a migraine before, you might not think they’re that severe. I want to make it easy for everyone to understand what a migraine is. Although some migraines can be quite painful, they are not easy to visualize.
Symptoms
One person said that they felt like a thousand white hot bugs buzzing around inside their heads. That sounds great, but who knows what white hot flies feel like? They don’t exist. Many people have felt the pain of accidentally hitting their finger using a hammer. This is a sudden, sharp pain followed by a throbbing sensation that becomes less severe over time. Migraine feels similar to this except that it repeats with each noise. It’s almost like the first smash of the finger and then the throbbing.
A headache isn’t nearly as painful as it sounds. This is a milder version. However, a migraine is not the same as a headache. That would be misleading. Let’s be a bit more scientific about this. The brain cannot feel pain. This is due to a complete absence of pain receptors in the brain. It’s not the brain that causes headaches or migraines. There could be many reasons why you feel the way you do.
Causes
Scientists aren’t able to pinpoint the exact cause of migraines. If that doesn’t scare you then I don’t know what would. A migraine is more common than a headache. This is evident by the fact that a migraine can sometimes be accompanied by a headache. A headache can also be a sign of migraine. Special medication is available for headaches and migraines. There is no comparison between the two. The migraine is a million times more severe than the headache.
